Parents —
Our boys’ basketball teams will travel to Carman-Ainsworth High School on Tuesday for three games starting at 4 p.m. As a result of a recent incident involving a weapon in the stands at a basketball game at Carman-Ainsworth, we want to reassure the community that the proper precautions are being made.
We have been in communication with school officials at Carman-Ainsworth since the incident occurred. They have been working with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of all players, coaches and spectators.
For Tuesday’s games, please be aware of the following:
- There will be a no-bag policy in the gym. Anyone attempting to enter the gym with a bag of any kind will be turned away.
- Spectators entering the game should expect to be checked by a metal detection device.
- Re-entry to the gymnasium for any spectator will be prohibited.
In addition, our teams will be accompanied by district administrators as well as a school resource officer. Please rest assured we are doing everything in our power to keep our student-athletes and fans safe.
Regards,
Matt Wandrie – Superintendent
