The District continues to monitor news regarding cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) that have occurred in several Michigan counties, including Lapeer. Out of an abundance of caution, the District has elected to apply mosquito pesticide to the grounds at the Center for Innovation in advance of tomorrow evening’s football game. 

In addition, parents will be notified of pesticide applications at other district properties 48 hours in advance of application. 

We continue to encourage all community members to follow the recommendations of the health department by applying repellent and wearing long sleeves and pants for any activity that takes place at dusk or later.
