Several representatives from The Lapeer Community Resource Center: Love In Action surprised a Rolland-Warner Middle School students this morning, as she sat at her table in Lisa Reinert’s art class. They paid a surprise visit to announce the winner of their Love In Action logo contest.
“Every great organization needs a great logo,” said Wendy Byard, LCS board trustee and also a supporter of Love In Action. “We had students all across Lapeer send us their great artwork, so it was a tough decision … but there was one that really stood out to us.”
There was a gasp in the classroom when Byard said the name “Jordyn Paul,” and immediately a $200 smile showed up on the face of a young lady, seated just to her right. Laird Kellie from Love In Action presented Jordyn with a check for winning the contest; she will be a special guest at the group’s Grand Kick-Off Celebration.
“We like the colors, bright and bold; we love how the world is in the shape of a heart for love, action and helping people,” Byard said.
The logo will be digitally scanned so it can be used to promote Love in Action, which will be a one-stop shop for anyone in Lapeer County in need of a helping hand during these tough times.
Congratulations Jordan! Great job!
I am so happy that Jordan won! That was such a cool little design. I love the “We Care. Let’s Share.” I’m not sure if that was already picked or if she made it up herself, but great job Jordan!!
I knew that Jordyn had the capability to design a logo of this quality. She has always possessed a sense of creativity and a sparkling personality to go with her talent. I wish to extend my sincere congratulations to my lovely grand daughter! (Just bragging as usual from Papa Richard!
