Rolland-Warner students deliver homemade honey to school’s bus drivers

The RWMS Bee Club is the brainchild of Mike Wiltse, a special education teacher, and is supported locally with private donations and a grant from the Lapeer Community Foundation.

This morning, students from the Rolland-Warner Middle School Bee Club kicked off their holiday season by giving a bottle of their homemade honey to every bus driver who transports R-W students as well as the staff at the bus garage.  The drivers and staff were all very appreciative of the gesture, suggested to Bee Club director Mike Wiltse by Dave Peasley, the school’s custodian and resident beekeeper.

In all, at least two dozen bottles of honey were distributed.

Excellent job students and staff!
