Nine Schickler Elementary students exited a stretch limousine this morning in front of McDonald’s on M-24, where their fund-raising efforts earned them a happy meal with Principal Ken Janczarek.
The students who finished among the top earners in the school’s fall fundraiser (sponsored by the PTO) won an opportunity to ride in style to McDonald’s for lunch and to participate in an upcoming “inflatable fun party.”
All told, Schickler students raised over raised over $3,000 from the sale of cookie dough and other items.
Jennifer Hoeft, treasurer for the PTO and librarian at the school, said the funds will be used in the classroom and for upcoming field trips.
Great job guys!
