Back where she started: Lead singer of 34 Bliss to sing Anthem at East-West game Friday

Rocquel (we knew her as Mariah Wallace) the lead singer of the popular Detroit rock band 34Bliss, is coming back to sing the National Anthem for the East-West basketball game on Friday at Lapeer East High School.

Rocquel is a graduate of Lapeer East High school and sang the National Anthem all throughout high school for the sporting events. After graduation, Rocquel formed the band 34Bliss and has received national attention for the band. 34Bliss opened for Eddie Money last May, was featured on the cover of Detroit Live and featured twice in the national magazine The Music Connection as one of the top 100 live bands to see. They are currently featured on the cover of Inside Macomb.

Rocquel is also opening a vocal academy this spring in Hadley.

Please come out and support the Lapeer East Girls and Boys Basketball programs as they take on the Panthers from Lapeer West.

The excitement begins this Friday evening, starting at 4:30 p.m.

Hope to see you there!
