Zemmer Parents —

We want to notify you that the District was made aware of rumors of a verbal threat made by a student from the Zemmer 8-9 Campus. Once it was brought to our attention, district officials and local law enforcement began an investigation. 

We have been assured by local law enforcement that the threat is not active and the student who made the threat is not on the premises. Rest assured that the individual responsible for the threat will not be allowed on school grounds pending completion of the investigation and disciplinary action.

As we have stated numerous times in the past, threats against schools are not something we can tolerate. We expect all students to choose their words carefully and to understand the consequences for threats to our schools will be severe. 

We want to assure you that the safety and security of our students and staff is, and always has been, our highest priority. We have taken all the steps necessary to ensure a safe and secure environment. As a District, we will continue to coordinate efforts with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of our school and community.
