Effective immediately, the wearing of face masks is optional on school buses operated by Lapeer Community Schools. This change reflects updated guidance from the CDC that no longer recommends the wearing of masks indoors in schools and early education settings in areas with low to medium levels of COVID-19 prevalence. Thankfully, we are now in one of these areas and are no longer required to comply with the mask mandate for public transportation.
