LAPEER, Michigan — Lapeer Community Schools is proud to announce the hiring of Kasie Allen as the new principal at Mayfield Elementary. Allen is a longtime teacher and learning coach in the District who most recently served as the as the Supervisor of School Improvement and Grant Programs at the District level.

Allen will begin in her new position this month.

“We are confident that Kasie has all the necessary skills and leadership abilities to keep Mayfield moving in a positive direction,” said LCS Superintendent Matt Wandrie. “She has an impeccable record with the District, a passion for education and a tremendous work ethic.”

Allen moves into the position vacated by former principal Sara Taylor, who left the District last month.
