District awarded LCCF grant for $7,631 for Chromebooks and cart

Lapeer Community Schools (LCS) is proud to announce receipt of a grant in the amount of $7,631 from the Lapeer County Community Foundation. The grant will cover the costs of Chromebooks as well as the required licensing and software.

The Lapeer County YAC Fund granted $1,210 of the total amount for the purchase of a Chromebook cart.

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of the Lapeer County Community Foundation and the Youth Advisory Committee,” said LCS Superintendent Matt Wandrie. “Their support makes it possible for us to put the necessary technology into our classrooms to enhance and expand opportunities for our students.”

The Lapeer County Community Foundation manages 64 funds to provide grants for a wide range of charitable purposes. Since 1996, over $4.1 million has been given to enhance the quality of life in Lapeer County.
