LAPEER, Michigan — The Leader Fund, the academic and athletic foundation serving the students and staff of Lapeer Community Schools, is set to host the second annual Par 3 Shootout on June 4 at Metamora Country Club.
This is the social event of the year for golfers and non-golfers alike.
This unique outing plays out on one of Metro Detroit’s most beautiful and challenging courses. Each of the course’s 18 holes will be transformed into a par 3, giving the scratch golfer and the weekend warrior 18 cracks at a hole in one. Each hole has a prize valued at a minimum of $10,000 for any player who makes a hole in one.
The $100 registration fee includes use of driving range, 18 holes (and a bonus mystery hole), prizes for lowest score, a barbecue luncheon and food during the round. Click here for flyer and registration form.
Golfers can compete in the morning session, starting at 8 a.m. or in the afternoon session starting at 2 p.m. Registration for each session begins one hour before start time. There will also be an awards ceremony starting at 7 p.m. If 18 cuts at a hole in one are not enough, register for both sessions and double your chances!
One young lady came oh-so-close last year to a big prize:
Event proceeds benefit the Leader Fund, the first and only academic and athletic foundation supporting the students and staff of Lapeer Community Schools.
