Jan. 26: Shoot for a Cure basketball games

You will not want to miss the District’s Shoot for a Cure girls’ basketball games versus Imlay City (freshman) and Goodrich (JV and Varsity) on Jan. 26 at Lapeer High School.

All donations from the games will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and ending breast cancer forever.

It is our desire to fill the gym to the brim! Spread the word and bring your friends!

Schedule for Jan. 26

4:00 pm: Freshman game vs. Imlay City

5:30 pm: JV game vs. Goodrich

7:00 pm: Varsity game vs. Goodrich

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide and the second-most common cancer overall. In 2015, an estimated 231,840 cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. alone. So no matter who you are or where you live, understanding breast cancer is important. But the most important thing to know is this: a diagnosis is not a death sentence. Breast cancer can be treated.
