Earlier this month, the middle school robotics teams from Lapeer (Mechanical Mayhem and Twisted Metal) went to Kettering University for our competition. Both teams advanced to the state tournament!
The day was long and hard but, at the end of qualifications, Mechanical Mayhem finished in first place and Twisted Metal came in third. The teams had an interesting day with both helping others and fixing the robots between matches.
Mechanical Mayhem, Twisted Metal and North Branch aligned to play the finals. As a group, all three teams won the completion out of 32 teams.
We were nominated for multiple awards and Mechanical Mayhem won the Think Award. I can’t’ wait to go to states
