From the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT):
We are getting ready to switch traffic on the south end of the project. Right now it’s looking like either this Saturday the 6th or Monday the 8th. These dates are weather dependent. We will still have the same configuration around Demille Road that we currently have, south of this area traffic will then be shifted to the southbound lanes. With one lane in each direction from about Power Street to south of I-69.
The day we do the traffic shift we could have some delays. As we move traffic from one side to the other and get all the traffic control devices lined up.
Once this last major stage is complete for this year; we will need to top everything we did this year. This will require us to move traffic over and adjust the drainage structures to the final grade, get the signals ready and place the final lift of asphalt. Right now we are anticipating that we would wrap up the construction for the year around the middle of November, weather permitting.
