Rolland -Warner sixth graders from Ms. Burris, Ms. Cook, and Mrs. Prill’s classes recently participated in the Salmon in the Classroom Project. This instrumental learning experience granted students the opportunity to raise, care for and maintain the salmon tank from fall until spring. The program culminated last Saturday (May 10) when students released 100 salmon into the Black River in the St. Clair watershed.
Students and teachers participated in the program to follow the life cycle of the salmon from egg, to hatchling to smolt, starting in the classroom.
Awesome job, students and staff!
