In Mrs. Schons’s second-third grade class, students have been talking about giving rather than getting.  To put this principle into practice, they will be doing a service project at The Lapeer County Medical Care Facility (Suncrest) December 19, 2012,^, after school starting at 4 p.m.

The students will be making holiday placemats for the residents to eat their Christmas meal on and also be singing a few holiday songs.  This event will take about a half hour.  Families are encouraged to attend and sign along with their child.

What a great way to celebrate the Christmas season!
