Lapeer Alumni Association luncheon draws near record turnout

On Tuesday, the bi-monthly Lapeer Alumni Association luncheon was held at the Elks Lodge in downtown Lapeer. Richard Sullivan, association president, said the near 150 people who came to the luncheon constituted the largest turnout since the event moved out of the old White building.

The purpose of the Alumni Association is to cultivate the common bond held by all Lapeer alumni. All former Lapeer High School students are welcome (Lapeer High, East, West and Community), not just graduates. Dues are $10 per year. Alumni may have their name installed on the Charter Member Plaque by joining as a Charter Member for $100.

The next luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, July 10 at noon at the Elks Lodge. You can come early for the 11 a.m. social hour. The lunch is $7.50 and includes dessert.
