The 8th grade students, parents, and teachers from Rolland-Warner Middle School had a great opportunity to meet with Congresswoman Candice Miller on the steps of the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. on last Thursday.

Miller represents Michigan’s 10th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. After meeting and speaking with the Rolland-Warner students, gallery passes were provided so the students from Rolland-Warner were able to enter the House of Representatives while it was in full session. Students were able to observe bills being debated between the Democratic and Republican representatives.
Four Rolland- Warner 8th graders were also chosen to partake in the changing of the guard ceremony at Arlington national cemetary. They laid the ceremonial wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
