Early this morning during our 6-12 bus runs, we had a bout of rain which quickly froze on our roads, particularly the gravel roads. We had three buses slide into ditches and a total of six that were stuck. We made the decision to get the kids who were already on buses to school and to cancel the elementary bus runs.

Michigan weather is unpredictable and, on occasion, we have to make quick decisions like we made today. We know it is a burden on staff, students, and parents, but we felt it was the right decision to make in the interest of student and staff safety.
