2022 Young Artist Today Exhibitions Honors Announced

Special Congratulations are in order for our third place winner and honorable mentions in the 2022 Young Artists Today Exhibition, hosted by the Greater Flint Arts Council. Out of 157 pieces of art submitted for the show, LHS junior Karina Reitz received third place for her ceramic piece titled “Open Minded” (art instructor – Jeff Bolzman). Karina won a $200 scholarship to Mott Community College, an artist portfolio filled with art supplies and a framed certificate.

Honorable Mentions went out to senior Hailee Lewis with her ceramic piece titled “Tea for Ghosts” (art instructor- Jeff Bolzman), junior Nicholas Olko for his colored pencil piece titled “21 Savage” and junior Elizabeth Ridley for her colored pencil piece titled “Funny Man” (art instructor- Sasha Patten). Honorable mentions won artist portfolios filled with art supplies and framed certificates to acknowledge their successes.

Please join us in congratulating our talented students and their hard work! The exhibit is on display in the Greater Flint Arts Council Gallery now through May 6.
