Congratulations are in order for eighth grader Nathan Jasper, the pride of Zemmer Middle School and the winner of the 2014 Lapeer County Spelling Bee. Nathan will now represent Lapeer County this spring at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. Bee Week will be May 25–May 31.

Maria Reitz, a sixth grader at Zemmer, finished as the runner-up.
