Five Lapeer wrestlers, three from West and two from East, qualified for the state tournament at the North Branch regionals on Saturday. They will now wrestle at the  Palace of Auburn Hills next week in the state competition.

Congratulations to these five student-athletes:

• Jacob Lucket Lapeer West Senior-215lb 2nd place in the  region
• Noah Raymond Lapeer West Senior-189lb 2nd place in the region
• Nick Harris Lapeer West Senior-145lb, two time qualifier, 4th place in the region
• Dillon Ellsworth Lapeer East Junior-152lb,  three time qualifier, 3rd place in the region
• Dan Perry Lapeer East Sophmore-285lb (heavy weight) 3rd place in the region
