As Lapeer Community Schools moves closer to the 2014-15 consolidation of East and West High Schools, district officials are seeking applicants for coaching positions at Lapeer High School and the middle level starting with the 2014 fall sports season.

On Tuesday, all fall coaching positions were posted internally and externally.

“We are really excited to get this big piece of the puzzle in place in the coming months,” said LCS Superintendent Matt Wandrie. “This is a great opportunity to get involved in the lives of student-athletes and to play a vital role in the future of Lapeer Community Schools.”

Application materials and copies of all related forms can be found on the District website (LapeerSchools.org) by clicking on the “Be a Coach” tab. Anyone interested in being considered for a coaching position must send the items listed below to the Human Resources Department by 4 PM Friday, December 6, 2013:

• Letter of Interest
• 2014-2015 Athletic Coaching Application Narrative (Varsity or Sub-Varsity)
• Application for employment as Interscholastic Coach must be on file with the District.  If application is more than two-years old, a new application should be completed or updated work and coaching experience should be provided in letter of interest.
