Do you have your tickets yet for the Family Literacy Center’s Camel Races?  The event will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Lapeer Center Building.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.  Tickets are $20 each and include dinner and snacks.

At this fun fundraiser, are sponsors decorate their wooden camels to represent their business or organization.  Awards are given for best dressed animals.  The camels “race” six at  a time like a giant board game.  Guests bet on their favorites.  Fabulous door prizes are awarded throughout the night.
