Recently, a Lapeer East High School junior was drafted in the NA3HL Draft on Tuesday. Jacob Drinkard, a forward, was the 66th pick overall, selected in the fourth round of the draft. Drinkard will play locally for the Flint Junior Generals, an organization with a reputation for advancing players to higher levels of hockey.

Jacob is the son of Todd and Jennifer Drinkard.
