Two Lapeer Community Schools graduates were honored this afternoon at the Lapeer Alumni Association’s bi-monthly luncheon at the Elks Club in Lapeer. Allison Hamilton from Lapeer West and Nicholas Willis from Lapeer East each received $1,000 awards from the association.

Hamilton will pursue a degree in education at Central Michigan University while Willis will be entering the pre-law program at Oakland University.

A third, Derek Hockin of Lapeer Community High School, was not able to attend.
