On April 27, Rolland-Warner Middle School held their first talent show open to all sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. It was an amazing show, with 12 sensational acts, ranging from a pair of seventh grade girls singing and playing the piano to a sixth grade boy moon-walking.

Rolland-Warner’s National Junior Honor Society Chapter organized the event and raised $300 in donations to the Paradise Animal Rescue of Lapeer from the over 200 spectators.

After the 12 awesome acts, Rolland-Warner’s Jazz Band, led by Mrs. Hundt, performed two smashing songs for our crowd in their first ever public performance. Meanwhile, the judges, Mrs. Jackowski, Mrs. Mullins, Mrs. Taylor, and Mrs. Willette tallied their votes.

This incredible evening was concluded by recognizing first, second, and third place winning performances. Sixth grader Chandler Sheatzley was awarded third place for his superb piano solo. Eighth grader Kacie Thomas was awarded second place for her remarkable gymnastics routine. Finally, seventh grader Madison Green was awarded first place for her splendid singing.

The members of Rolland-Warner’s NJHS chapter extend a gracious thank you to everyone who helped make this evening a success! We look forward to another terrific talent show next school year!
