On Wednesday night, Lapeer Country Club hosted Lapeer Community Schools’ 29th annual Employee Recognition Program. The event is held annually to honor current school employees and retirees for their tremendous service to the students of the District. (Click here to see photos from the event)

In all, 31 recent retirees were honored and the following LCS employees received special recognition:

Outstanding Contributor Award: Charlotte Cornell, Lapeer West teacher

Distinguished Service Award: Dave Peasley, Rolland-Warner Middle School head custodian

Distinguished Educator Awards: Steve Larzelere-Kellerman, Lynch Elementary teacher & Bill Kinzer, high school coach and teacher

Congratulations are also in order for the following retirees:

*  Resigned following last year’s Employee Recognition Program and prior to this current school year
