
On Sunday, The Lapeer County Press did a story on the new Lapeer East varsity boys’ soccer coach Duane Rowley. The longtime resident said it was his dream to be a head varsity soccer coach, and now he’s at the helm of one of the top soccer programs in the region.

The Lapeer East boys’ soccer team won’t have to go through the cycle of learning about a new coach when Duane “Bud” Rowley takes over in the fall. Rowley has been hired to replace outgoing coach Chad Kenny, who steps away from the boys’ program to concentrate on his own kids.
