Trista Foster, a Lapeer East Art student, has been chosen as a Distinguished Scholar of the Arts through the Michigan Art Education Association. Her artwork will be on display at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival at Western Michigan University from May 10 through May 12.
Only about 1,000 students are invited to be a part of this festival out of over 250,000 students that had entered the competition.
