Work on installing the new hardwood athletic floor in the Lapeer West auxiliary gymnasium is on hold until humidity conditions improve. Exhaust fans are in place to help the concrete drying process and the hardwood supplies are in the gym waiting for the proper conditions.

Students at Murphy Elementary School participated in their annual Fund Run on Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Each year students seek pledges and then run laps on a course behind the school to help raise money for school activities.
