This afternoon, Lapeer High School was placed in secure mode due to a medical issue involving a student. The school is no longer in secure mode and activities have resumed as normal.

As a reminder, secure mode does not indicate that a threat is present or imminent. This is simply a way for our administrators, law enforcement and/or medical personnel to deal with situations in a controlled environment. There was no threat of any kind associated with today’s secure mode.
