Lapeer West students design and construct clothing to send to Botswana

Lapeer West students show off jumpers designed and constructed for young girls in Francistown, Botswana in southern Africa.

Students in Charlotte Cornell’s Clothing Construction II class at Lapeer West have designed constructed clothing to send to Botswana in southern Africa. The students made jumpers (dresses) out of old blue jeans. These jumpers are going to a church and school in Francistown, Botswana.

The clothes, once constructed, were spiced up with colors and designs to appeal to young children. The jumpers will be shipped out today.

What an awesome project!
