Last week, members of the band program at Lapeer West High School greeted the Lapeer Community Schools Board of Education with a mini-concert prior to the monthly regular meeting. The meeting was held in the school’s media center. The school also showcased artwork of 28 students entering the 2012 Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.

Several West students started the meeting by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in American Sign Language.
