The Lapeer West varsity boys’  basketball team outran Linden in the second half last night to record an impressive 73-49 victory in the season opener.

Two of the top juniors in the Flint area, West’s Cullen Turcyzn and Zeshawn Jones-Parker, led the way for the Panthers, scoring 16 points apiece.

Senior forward Luke Knickerbocker added eight points.

West will take on Flushing at 7 p.m. Friday night on the road.
