Don’t forget to make it out to Lapeer East tonight to cheer on the Eagles in the first round of the MHSAA playoffs. East will play host to Auburn Hills Avondale starting at 7 p.m.

The Eagles, 7-2, are led by a potent offensive tandem: Running back Monta Stangler (1,198 yards and 10 touchdowns) and quarterback Gary Bulzan (720 yards and 12 touchdowns) are two of the top offensive performers in the Flint area.

Auburn Hills Avondale, one of a fairly small number of teams statewide to make the playoffs with a 5-4 record, have had a lot of success running the ball this season as well.
