The undefeated season for the Lapeer East boys’ soccer team came to an end last night in Fenton. The Eagles suffered their first loss of the season in the regional championship game against Auburn Hills Avondale.

Lapeer East hadn’t lost a soccer game all year, with only five ties blemishing a record that earned it a No. 4 ranking in the final state Division 2 poll.

But the first loss was a season-ender, as the Eagles lost 2-1 to Auburn Hills Avondale in a regional championship game Thursday night at Fenton.
