Rolling: Lapeer East soccer team still alive in state playoffs

The Eagles just keep on rolling. Lapeer East’s boys’ soccer team is still alive in the state playoffs after a 3-0 win over Marysville High School on Friday in the district title game.

East continues to ride the momentum of its air-tight defensive unit led by goalkeeper Colin Owen, who recently broke the Flint-area record for career shutouts.

The district title is East’s sixth in the last seven seasons. The Eagles will play conference foe Clio at Fenton High School on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
