Calling all kiddos!

Lapeer Community Schools will host its annual Kindergarten Round-up from 1-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 and Thursday, March 26. Round-up will be held at the Administration & Services Center, 250 Second St., in Lapeer.

LCS offers full, five-day Kindergarten for all children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2015. Parents will be able to enroll students in traditional or year-round school.

At both sessions, new students will have the opportunity to win “Little Lightning” t-shirts every half hour. Students will also be able to experience their first ride on a school bus.

Many local organizations will be represented at Round-up this year: Kids & Company, DeAngeli Library, Family Literacy Center, MSU Extension/4H, Girl Scouts of America, PTC and Early On/Project Find.

Parents who wish to enroll their child for Kindergarten should bring their child’s original birth certificate, immunization records, emergency contact information, and two proofs of residency (picture I.D., utility bill, lease agreement, etc.).
