A “Reading is Out of This World” event at the Murphy Elementary School campus drew about 250 Hadley-Murphy Elementary students and family on Tuesday, March 24th.

The event, which included “fireside” classroom reading, was part of the “March is Reading Month” events throughout the District.

Students and parents also participated in book making events at the school. In addition the Family Literacy Center of Lapeer was on hand with some of its great programs.

Students and parents read by flashlight around campfires while other students chose to read by flashlight inside tents set up in classrooms.
